High Vibe Music To Balance Your Chakra’s

Who doesn’t LOVE  music?!

I find music so powerful, it can change our vibes, our emotions, and our feelings in a second.

The effect music can have on our SOUL , our internal body, can be felt by us all when we listen to a certain song. For example when your hairs on your arm stand on end, or you get goosebumps, or you release tears, or your heart swells with love, or you feel a sense of empowerment, like you can do anything.

Music can literally change our energy vibration in a second!

I decided to put together some playlists for you and I. These playlists focus on each CHAKRA of the body. If you already know about chakra’s, you will understand how each chakra is different and has a different energy and feel to it.

If not I will explain :

Chakra’s are energy centres in our body, they run up and down the spine. From our root chakra at our pelvis to our crown chakra above our head.

When our chakra’s are in balance life flows with ease and grace.

Personally I use reiki on myself to balance my chakra’s as well as music, dance,  yoga and meditation. You can also use the power of food.

  • A Healthy Root Chakra: This chakra will  promote core feelings of being part of a tribe or community, and it anchors the body in feelings of trust, safety, and protection.
  • A Healthy Sacral Chakra : This chakra will assist in wielding and manifesting raw creativity into an external form, including through relationships with another healthy Sacral Chakra allows us to “go with the flow” of life.
  • A Healthy Solar Plexus Chakra: This chakra will manifest as a brilliant expression of personal power accompanied by balanced energy flow and clear perceptions of life situations.
  • A Healthy Heart Chakra: This chakra is the place where unconditional love is centered. Unconditional Love is a creative and powerful energy that may guide and help us through the most difficult times.
  • A Healthy Throat Chakra: This chakra will serve as the portal to communicate and express the emotions, thoughts, and feelings of the other Chakras through sound in a way that is authentic and true.
  • A Healthy Third Eye Chakra: This chakra will encourage the path of internal visions and dreams, with the realization that they are Divinely guided and inspired.
  • A Healthy Crown Chakra: This chakra will manifest as the ability for individuals to be confident in their faith in a Higher Power, higher self, or in a force that is highly intelligent and creative. The magic!

I intuitively put different music into playlists that reflect each chakra. However because we are all very different and unique, you may find some songs work on different chakra’s than the playlist I put them into, and that is cool, music is very personal to us.

All you have to do is click on the links below, and use the playlists when you need them for the chakra’s when you feel you need a boost, a balancing, some healing.

You will feel differently afterwards. You’ll be able to feel it. Try and tune into each chakra with the music and feel the energy balance 🙂

With each chakra when it is being stimulated, expressed, soothed, boosted, focused on it is healing. You may feel emotions rise up to be released.

Just surrender and let your emotions flow.

Beware Of Gluten Free Bread

“Be careful of those packaged gluten-free breads. Usually still loaded with sugar and other ingredients not beneficial for true health and a healthy digestive system. For instance.. Genius gluten-free bread – yes genius marketing, but not genius ingredients!!”

This is a post I posted on my Facebook page last week and I realised a lot of people need more options and advice on where to get healthy gluten-free food from. I’m always for whole foods over packaged so if you can make your own. Yes do it!

I am going to share some recipes with you. I’m also going to share a brand that I have checked out the ingredients of and they are 100% better than the ones in most supermarkets.

Gluten free has become a bit of a trend. One that I am all for, in the sense that most people’s digestive system works better without gluten.

“A healthy digestive system is key for a true healthy body.”

So yeah I’m all for the gluten-free word getting out and proud. Although a lot of companies however have jumped on this band wagon, and are using it for their benefit. They have cleverly labeled stuff  “healthy” & “gluten-free” and yes they have taken the gluten out, but they’ve left in the processed sugar, preservative’s and many other ingredients that are no better than the gluten itself.

I’ve looked at the sugar content on the package of a certain brand of gluten-free bread. I have to say it is high and a concentrated source and not genius like their brand name insists..

“Don’t be fooled. I’m not an angel, although I do try to be!”

I sometimes eat gluten, like rye bread and other things. However most of the time I don’t, like 98% of the time. I also believe everyone is unique so I won’t say eat exactly what I eat.
I encourage people to eat whole foods and listen to their own body on what works for them.

So what can we actually buy that we can trust and what are those recipes?

 

When making your own gluten free foods the gluten free flours I recommend are :

  • Coconut flour
  • Almond flour

Guacamole – Delicious & Great For Healthy Hormones

One of my favourite lunches lately has been raw flax crackers (I didn’t make these) topped with home-made guacamole and alfalfa sprouts.

I can’t get enough of avocado lately.  For lots of reason’s I believe.

Firstly my body loves fat! The healthy kind of course. Healthy fats are so good for our hormones, and when your menstrual cycle is due, the week before you may find yourself craving more fats in general. If you do, I highly recommend these sources:

  • Avocado,
  • Coconut,
  • Raw almond butter,
  • Olives,
  • Eggs,
  • Wild fish,

Secondly the weather is getting a little colder now in the UK, and my body naturally wants something heavier for energy.

Fat is one of the most crucial elements for hormonal balance. Healthy fat is the raw material that we need to produce and maintain healthy hormone function and balance.

Hormones are produced using fatty acids and cholesterol, so if we’re missing these nutrients, hormone problems may arise simply because the body doesn’t have the nutrients it needs to make them.

Our body needs certain fats for rebuilding cells and stabilizing hormones. This is especially important for the female reproductive system.

Say YES to healthy fats!

So all this talk of healthy fats, I’d like to share my guacamole recipe with you as its sooooo simple and delicious, I think it may just become a staple of yours too :

Sarah’s Guacamole: (serves 1) 

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 a spring onion chopped
  • 1/2 a lemon, juiced
  • garlic clove, very finely chopped
  • 2 cherry tomatoes chopped
  • pinch of sea salt
  • fresh black pepper
  • pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper

Cut the avocado in half , remove stone and scoop out the contents into a bowl.

Mash the avocado with a fork. Add in the spring onion, tomato, garlic and lemon. Stir well. Then add in seasoning. Mix again and serve. See how easy was that!

Always best eaten fresh and straight away.

Blended Beauty

I have just completed a 14 day cleanse. The Lightforce Liquid Cleanse. YAY!  I feel thoroughly cleansed and renewed.

It was 2 weeks of  blended smoothies, soups, colon cleansing and liver flushing.  A whole mind, body and SOUL cleanse.

As you may of guessed already, I like to cleanse often, and I always take part in the cleanse’s myself  that I guide others through.

It’s the way that I work. I only teach what I have been through and learnt myself.  I believe everyone is a teacher & a student on this journey called life.

Over the last 2 weeks I have had great opportunity to come up with some more blended beautifying recipes, and I have a new recipe to share with you all!

Based on two ingredients that work together amazingly. They are some of my favourite ingredients because of the health benefits you gain from eating them:

  • BERRIES
  • COCONUT OIL

Did you know that berries and coconut oil taste amazing together, but not only that, they work together too! By work together, I mean in the way that your body loves, they benefit health!

The fats in coconut oil increase nutrient absorption, so all of the vitamins and antioxidants in the berries are used faster and more efficiently in your body!

WHY I LOVE COCONUT OIL?

Coconut oil is great for your hormones, skin, weight loss and metabolism, nails, hair, and regulating your insulin levels. It is also extremely detoxifying to the body, with an emphasis on the liver, which coconut oil helps immensely. Coconut oil contains a special type of fats known as MCT fats, which are immediately used by the body for metabolism functions, not stored as fat. Coconut oil is also an antiviral oil, and rich in lauric acid, so it helps the liver filter out toxins and aids in preventing bacterial infections such as yeast infections and other fungal infections.

TRY THIS MAGICAL RECIPE:

Blended Beauty:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 1 tsp of moringa powder
  • 1 tbsp of raw honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1 cup of filtered water
  • 1 tbsp of coconut sugar (sprinkled on top)

Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!

5 Ways To Get Glowing Skin

One of my favourite topics and one of the questions I get asked the most is regarding skin health. How to heal skin conditions and get smooth, glowing healthy skin.

Ive healed my own skin conditions – Acne & Rosacea on my journey, and I wanted to share with you my top 5 ways to get my skin glowing and balanced.

1. Hydrate:

The most obvious one and the easiest, but surprisingly the one that most people are not doing is drinking enough hydrating liquids.

  • Water
  • Lemon water
  • Coconut water
  • Juicy Fruits & Veg

My favourite ways to stay hydrated is to drink 1-2 pints of filtered water when I first wake up. Followed by my skin drink (number 2 on top tips). I then drink herbal teas and filtered water in a glass bottle through out the day. Aiming for about 2-3 litres, depending on activity, how hot it is and what foods I am eating that day. Foods like cucumber and watermelon are great for the skin too. Think juicy and refreshing, that will show on your skin 🙂

2. Skin Drink:

A great drink that is great for the skin is :

  • 1 tsp of msm powder
  • 1 tsp of camu camu
  • 1 pint of filtered water
  • 1 freshly squeezed lemon

Blend these all together and drink. This drink combines great liver cleansing properties, with the lemon and msm. The msm is also high in sulphur which is great for our skin, and helps with hormonal breakouts, smoothing the skin and also hydrating dry skin.

3. Liver Helper’s:

The liver and digestion is the first place to look when dealing with skin conditions. Most of our liver’s are stressed out and over worked with the environment we live in and all the many toxins that surround us. So any way to help the liver out is good by me!

I also notice my skin’s glow & texture look’s extra healthy when I help my liver out, with a cleanse or supplementation.

My personal favourites are:

 

4. Oil Based Skin Care Products:

It took me a long time to work out what my skin likes. I have fairly sensitive skin that doesn’t like to be messed around with too much. So less is more for me.

My favourite cleanser is either The best skin ever by Living Libations. Which uses the oil cleansing method. Or I like to to use Argan oil as my go to oil. I apply the oil to my face, massage in gently, then apply a hot flannel and steam my face, I repeat this 2-3 times. Leaving my skin to air dry. I don’t do this everyday. Sometimes I just use water.

I sometimes use a moisturiser, I sometimes don’t. In summer I don’t so much.

Moisturisers, again I stick to oil based, non toxic and purely natural. Living libations do a beautiful one. Also Pai skincare have an amazing one too.

5. Probiotics

Fermented foods and a great probiotic are essential for great skin. Skin health is  linked to digestive/gut health. You want to get as many of those good guys into you (the good bacteria) to help your digestive system work efficiently and create balance. My favourite probiotics at the moment are:
