Sometimes I like to lay off the Cacao powder, as it is a natural stimulant and if overused could make your adrenals a little unhappy. I like a break every now and then.
So I’ve been playing with Carob Powder instead, I love the taste of carob, its kind of like caramel, it;s a very unique sweet taste and I like to mix it in my sweet treats for that chocolate look!
These were delicious and named Carob Cinema snacks as I took them to the movies the other night and they are my favourite now, so I will be making them especially for movie nights, instead of popcorn!
Carob Cinema Snacks
- 1 cup of Cacao butter
- 1 dropperful of stevia
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla powder
- Hazelnuts handful chopped
- 1/2 cup Goji Berries,
- 1/4 cup Coconut flakes
- 2tbsp Hemp seeds
- 2 tbsp Carob powder
- 1/2 tbsp Mesquite powder
Melt the Cacao butter over a low heat, transfer to a bowl and mix in all the other ingredient, mix well.
Spoon into a dish/ tub you can place in the freezer, set for 20 minutes and then break into squares.
